James Construction Group was awarded multiple contracts to perform the civil phase and the mechanical construction activities on Phases I and II of the Port Arthur facility.

Civil Phase:

·    Grading and excavation

·    Installation:

     –   Underground piping (6″ process drainage pipe, 4″ sanitary lines, a 3″ HDPE water line, 12″ CS natural gas line, and 4″ and 2″ CS process drainage pipe)

     –   Underground electrical duct banks and manholes

     –   Mud sills

·    Placement of grounding grid in foundations

·    Preparation of piles to receive the foundations

Mechanical Phase:

·    Setting:

     –   Surge drums

     –   PSA system

     –   Process gas boiler

·    Installation:

     –      Steel for steam piping

     –      Outlet manifolds and tubes

     –      Convection section modules

     –      Steam piping and steam drum

     –      Refractory and brick tunnels in radiant box

     –      Burners, gas piping, full piping, inlet headers, and pigtails

·    Erection:

     –   Support steel for radiant box and convection sections

     –   Radiant box

     –   Process piping modules, vessels, steam turbine generator

     –   Three-cell cooling tower with pumps and piping

     –   Two multiservice compressors with motors, steel, and piping

     –   Erection, support, and testing of interconnecting process piping
