JCG has performed earthwork construction on numerous
grassroot sites for industrial,
commercial, automotive and other
private industries. Services
usually performed on site development
projects include clearing, grubbing,
stripping, grading, excavation,
hauling, drainage, roads,
stabilization, embankment, structural
fill and underground fire water pipe
installation. Projects range in size
from two acres to several hundred
acres, including over two million
cubic yards of excavated earthen
material. The work is
accomplished with a high level of
productivity, a dependable equipment
fleet, and skilled operators who
average over 15 years experience in
performing all types of earthwork
projects in all types of soil
conditions. |

The Heavy Civil Construction Group of JCG is one of the
premier highway construction groups in
the nation. The Group has
performed on major highway projects in
Arkansas,
Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and
Texas.
Typical highway construction projects range in size from $5
- $80 million and include earthwork,
concrete paving, asphalt paving, and
significant structures work.
Many of these projects also involve
critical, incentive/penalty based,
completion schedules. JCG is
known for its track record of
performance on this type of
complicated project. This
performance includes the award winning
I-10/I-12 Rehabilitation Project in
Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This $80
million project was completed 400 days
ahead of schedule, earned a
multi-million dollar incentive bonus,
and received several awards including
the United States Department of
Transportation Pavement Smoothness
Award, and the 2000 Aon Build American
Merit Award. |

The Heavy Civil Group has successful performance experience
at many of the major airports in the
Gulf Coast region. These airport
projects consist primarily of heavy
concrete runway/taxiway paving and
supplemental asphalt paving. The Group
has the specialized plant and paving
equipment resources necessary to
successfully execute these demanding
projects. The Group’s personnel also
understand the stringent FAA
specifications and are accomplished in
attaining the associated high quality

the area of infrastructure and marine
construction activities. These
activities encompass pumping stations,
covered canal sections, flood control
structures, wharf construction, levee
construction and wetlands creation.

Louisiana provides both unique

challenges in the marine and
infrastructure scope area.
The innovative solutions developed and
employed by the JCG through the years
have contributed to the successful
experience on these projects for both
municipal governments and the U.S.

JCG’s Sitework and Environmental
Division has a proven track record of
successful performances on large
earthwork and environmental remedial
construction projects throughout the
southern region of the United States.
JCG has extensive expertise for
dealing with the unique soil and
groundwater conditions found within
the Gulf Coast region. JCG has
performed remedial services on two
major “Superfund” sites in Louisiana
and numerous hazardous waste sites.
Hazardous waste sites, at a minimum,
require extensive safety training,
site specific safety plans, and levels
of D, C and B personal protective
equipment. JCG safety personnel
have the qualifications and
certifications to provide the OSHA 40
Hour training in-house. |

The Industrial Division specializes in construction,
maintenance, and turnaround services
for private industry. The JCG
Industrial Division provides site
preparation, pile driving, underground
piping, concrete foundations, steel
erection, equipment setting and
process pipe installation.
Mechanical specialty services include:
supplemental maintenance,
turnarounds/shutdowns, boiler repair
and installation, and other specialty
equipment erection and repair
JCG’ s track record includes performance on major projects
with a total installed cost exceeding
$500 million. JCG’s work scopes range
from 1,000 – 400,000 manhours.
JCG takes pride in performing well on fast track projects.
We utilize the leading project
controls software available to
industry today. Our system will
support any size project, setting
specific milestones and measuring
progress with any level of detail. The
entire project management team can
review project summary reports, make
informed decisions, direct multiple
tasks, assess resources and report
accomplishments, priorities and

The Sitework and Environmental Division of JCG has
performed over 100 landfill cell
construction and impoundment closure
projects over the last ten years
within the Gulf Coast region.
This includes RCRA solid waste and
hazardous waste cells and lagoons.
Many of the construction activities
associated with this type of work
include: excavation, grading,
geo-textile placement, leachate
collection and drainage systems,
levees, embankment, geo-membrane and
clay liner installation, access roads,
and erosion control. JCG
performs this work for private, local,
parish and regional customers. In
addition to construction, JCG offers
turn-key on-site maintenance services
to its customers. Maintenance services
include landfill construction,
impoundment closures, pipeline
maintenance, water management, roadway
maintenance, ditch maintenance,
erosion control, grass cutting,
monitoring, mechanical maintenance. |
